Our Faith and Its Doctrinal Basis

We believe that the Bible/ 66 Scriptures (excluding the Apocrypha) is the divine inspirational word of God, the infallibility, the flawlessness, and the inerrancy, as originally given and its sole authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Tim.3.15-16; 2 Pe.1.21; 1 Cor.4.6b)

We believe in the unity of the Godhead/One True and Living God who is Eternal, Self-Existent “I AM WHO I AM’, who has revealed Himself as One being co-existing in Three Persons (Triune God) – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Ex.3.14; Deu.6.4; Mt.3.15-17; 28.19-20; Mk.12.29; 2 Cor.13.14)

We believe in the Sovereignty of God in Creation, Revelation, Redemption and Final Judgement. (Col.1.12-20)

We believe in the Virgin Birth of the Son of God, His Sinless Life, His Miraculous Ministry, His Substitutionary Atoning Death, His Bodily Resurrection, His Triumphant Ascension and Abiding Intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ and in His Personal, Visible, Bodily Return in Power and Glory as the Blessed Hope of all Believers. (Is.7.14; Mt.1.23; 16.16; Lk.1.26-35; 24.39; Acts.1.9; 2.22; 10.38; Rom.8.34; 1 Cor.15.4, 22-24, 51-57; Eph.4.8-10; 1 Thess.4.13-18; Heb.7.25-26; Rev.20.1-6)

We believe in human nature who was created pure and upright, but the universal sinfulness and guilt since the Fall rendering man subject to God’s wrath and condemnation. (Gen.1.26-31; 3.1-7; Is.53.6; Jn.3.36; Rom.5.12-21)

We believe in Salvation through in Jesus Christ (the Incarnate Son of God), who died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, was buried and was bodily raised from the sacrificial death [as our representative and penal substitute] on the third day, and that we have Redemption through His Blood. (Isa.53.6; Jn.3.36; Rom.10.8-15; 1 Cor.15.3-4; 2 Cor.5.15-21; Tit.2.11; 3.5-7; Heb.2.14) This experience is also known as the born again/new birth, and is an instantaneous, complete and regenerating manifestation of the Holy Spirit upon initial faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Jn.3.3-8; 16.7-11; Jam.1.18; 1 Pe.1.23; 1 Jn.5.1)

We believe in the justification of the sinner freely by God’s grace through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Rom.3.24-26)

We believe that all who have truly repented and believe in Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord are commanded/ordained to be [non]-publicly baptized by immersion in water and taught in the NT. (Mt.28.19; Acts.2.38-41; 8.38; 10.47-48; Rom.6.3-4)

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit imparts to believers as the vocational [missiological/service] activity/manifestation/indwelling which speaks in tongues, and serves in various gifts of the Holy Spirit [Christ] in the Church today. (Jo.2.28-29; Acts.1.4-5, 8; 2.49.17; 10.44-46 [11.14-16]; 13.52; 19.6; 1 Cor.12.1-31; 14.1-25, 36; Eph.4.7-16; Cf. Rom.8.9; 12.3-8; Eph.1.13)

We believe in the sanctified life and conduct in obedience to the God’s commandment. (Acts.2.44-46; 1 Pe.1.14-16; Heb.12.14; 1 Thes.5.23; 1 Jn.2.6)

We believe in the expectation of the personal re-coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts.1.6-13)

We believe that deliverance from sickness, by Divine Healing is provided for in the Atonement. (Isa.53.4-5; Mt.8.16-17; Jam.5.13-16, etc.)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all believers who believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal conscious blessedness/bliss in heaven of the redeemed/believers and the eternal conscious punishment of all, who do not believe in Jesus Christ [whose names are not written in the Book of Life]. (Dan.12.2-3; Mat.25.46; Jn.5.28-29; 1 Cor.15.22-24; 2 Thes.1.9; Rev.20.10-15)

We believe that all who have truly repented and believe in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord should regularly take part in the Lord’s Supper. (Lk.22.14-20; 1 Cor.11.20-34)

The One Holy Universal Church [Gk. Ekklesia, female Gender; the called/sanctified One from the world] who is the Body of Christ and to who all true Believers belong. (Eph.4.4-6)

Each ‘Local Church’ is called to be an autonomous ‘gathered community’ of re-generate all believers, living in the sanctified fellowship with all other believers within the One Body of Christ, and is therefore sufficient under Christ for the sake of the ordering of its life in obedience to His Will. (Acts.20.28; Phil.1.1)
